Terms of Use

These terms cover the whole of Elysian Wedding Services — the planning tools, the guest experience and the paid passes. They govern your use of Elysian wherever you access it. Elysian is operated from the United Kingdom. If consumer law in the country where you live gives you mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, those rights continue to apply.

Who you are contracting with

Elysian is the customer-facing name of the service. Elywed is the platform and domain it runs on. Elysian operates from the United Kingdom.

Your account

You need an account to use Elysian. Keep your password private, give us accurate details, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise legally able to enter into this agreement, to create an Elysian account or make a purchase.

One wedding

Each Planning Pass or Wedding Day purchase applies to one wedding. A purchase cannot be transferred to another wedding or resold.

Free, Planning Pass and Wedding Day

• Free — your wedding space, guest list, Seating Planner, Budget, the Essential Planning Journal, and invitation design and preview.
• Planning Pass — everything in Free, plus the complete Planning Journal, Suppliers & Contracts, the Day-of Timeline, RSVP collection, a standalone RSVP link, invitation publishing and your Gift List.
• Wedding Day — an optional purchase for the celebration itself, available on its own or alongside a Planning Pass. At launch it includes Photo Studio, Remember — Wedding Memories, and 25 GB of Photo Studio storage per wedding.

We may improve, update or change features as Elysian develops. During the paid access period, we will not materially reduce the core functionality of a purchase without giving you an appropriate remedy where required by law.

Payment

Planning Pass and Wedding Day are one-time payments. There is no subscription, nothing renews automatically, and there is nothing to remember to cancel. Prices are charged in US dollars (USD). Your bank or card issuer may apply its own conversion or international fees, which are outside our control. Prices are shown in USD. Any taxes that Elysian is required to collect will be shown at checkout.

How long your access lasts

Paid access remains available through your wedding date and for 12 months after that date. If your wedding date legitimately changes in Elysian, the access period follows the updated date. Elysian is not a permanent archive or hosting service, and we do not promise that content remains hosted indefinitely — please keep your own copies of anything you want to keep for good.

After paid access ends, we may retain your content for a 90-day recovery period, during which the service may provide limited access or export rather than normal paid functionality. After that recovery period, stored content may be permanently deleted in accordance with our retention policy. Please export anything you wish to retain before the recovery period ends.

Storage allowance

Wedding Day includes up to 25 GB of Photo Studio storage per wedding, covering the photographs uploaded through Photo Studio. This allowance applies to Photo Studio only and is not a general media allowance for any future Wedding Day product. If the allowance is reached, everything already uploaded remains accessible to view and download, and new uploads may be paused. We will not automatically delete existing media simply because the limit has been reached.

The planning tools

The Planning Journal, Budget, Suppliers & Contracts, Guest management, Seating Planner and Day-of Timeline are organisational tools. They help you record and arrange your own information. They are not financial, legal or professional advice, and they do not create or manage any agreement between you and a supplier — your contracts remain between you and them. Budget figures are the values you enter; Elysian does not verify them or move money.

Invitation Studio and RSVP collection

You may design, preview and (with Planning Pass) publish a wedding invitation and collect replies, including through a standalone RSVP link. Published invitation pages and RSVP links are reachable by anyone holding the link, so share them as you would a printed invitation.

Gift List

Your Gift List holds links to external registries and third-party cash-gift services that you choose. Elysian never processes, holds, transfers or tracks gift funds, and takes no part in any transaction between your guests and those third parties.

Photo Studio and guest-uploaded content

Photo Studio lets your guests upload photographs by QR card or link, without an account. You can review, hide and remove what arrives. You are responsible for how you invite guests to contribute and for what you then publish or share.

Your content

Photographs, wording, guest details and planning records remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and display them so the service can work — for example on your invitation page, your Gift List page, your gallery and your printed output.

Guest information is your responsibility

You decide which guest names, emails, phone numbers and other details you enter. You are responsible for having a proper basis to share those details with us and for the accuracy of what you enter. Elysian processes that information on your instructions in order to run your wedding tools.

Acceptable use

• Do not upload unlawful, harmful, hateful or infringing content.
• Do not use Elysian to send unsolicited marketing.
• Do not attempt to access another couple’s wedding, data or links.
• Do not probe, disrupt or overload the service, or work around access controls.
• Do not resell Elysian, or use it to run weddings as a service for other people.

Our designs

Elysian’s software, template layouts, ornaments, illustrations and typography settings remain ours. They are licensed to you for your own wedding, and may not be resold or redistributed as design assets.

Availability

We work to keep Elysian and any published pages reachable, but the service is provided without a guaranteed uptime commitment. Maintenance, updates and occasional interruptions happen. Keep a downloaded copy of anything important, such as your invitation PDF or your exported data.

Third-party services

Elysian relies on third parties to operate, including hosting, database and storage providers, an email delivery provider, and Stripe for payments. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card details. Your use of a third-party registry or cash-gift service you link from your Gift List is governed by that provider’s own terms.

Refunds and cancellation

You may cancel a Planning Pass or Wedding Day purchase within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, and receive a full refund. Access begins immediately, but we do not ask you to give up this 14-day cancellation right. After that period your statutory rights as a consumer continue to apply. How to cancel and how refunds are made is set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If a paid purchase is refunded, we may remove the access that purchase provided; this does not automatically delete your wedding data, and we will tell you when any access change takes effect.

Closing your account, export and deletion

You can export the data we hold about your wedding as a file, and you can delete your wedding and its guests, replies, photographs and design versions at any time from Settings. Deleting a wedding removes it from the active service and cannot be undone through your account. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups or records we are legally required to retain, as explained in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account used unlawfully or in breach of these terms.

Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses where Elysian is used for a trade or business purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Elysian develops. If a change materially affects a pass you have already bought, we will tell you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of any mandatory protection given to you by the law of the country or state where you normally live. Nothing in these terms prevents you from bringing proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
